Rector of Orenburg State Medical University Visited Max Healthcare, Delhi

On July 13, 2023, the esteemed Rector of Orenburg State Medical University, Prof. Igor Miroschnichenko, made his visit to Max Healthcare, Saket, on his 2-day visit to India. The main objective of his visit was to strengthen the educational bond between the two prestigious institutions of the two nations and also to promote Russian Medical Education to Indian medical aspirants.

Prof. Igor was accompanied by the Vice Chairman of Rus Education, Air Marshal Dr. Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), Dr. Ashok Patel, an Indian Representative at Orenburg State Medical University in Russia, and other members of Rus Education.

During their visit to Max Healthcare, Prof. Igor met with Dr. Vinita Mittal, General Manager of Academics at Max Institute of Health Care, Dr. Sanjay Academic Coordinator accompanied by BDA and other administrators at the Hospital. The two institutions engaged in productive discussions regarding various opportunities and facilities provided to Indian students from Orenburg State Medical University during their summer observership at Max Healthcare, India.

During the visit, Dr. Vanita Mittal provided an overview of the Max Healthcare to the Rector. This included showcasing the academic program and presenting various simulation models that are used in their educational initiatives.

The Rector took the opportunity to assess the facilities available to the students at Max Healthcare. It was brought to his attention that the students undergo training in essential life-saving techniques such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), among others. This training equips them with the necessary skills to respond effectively in critical situations. Furthermore, the students are exposed to a wide range of emergencies, providing them with valuable hands-on experience in dealing with real-life medical scenarios. They are given the opportunity to rotate through various departments, including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics.

The Rector made the most of his visit to Max Healthcare by immersing himself in the experience. He dedicated a significant amount of time to the Emergency Services department, witnessing firsthand the critical care provided to patients in urgent medical situations. This allowed him to observe the efficiency and effectiveness of the emergency response team at Max Healthcare. He also visited the inpatient wards, where he had the opportunity to interact with both the patients and the dedicated staff members of Max Healthcare.

After a productive day of engaging with the various departments at Max Healthcare, the Rector concluded his visit with a delicious Indian lunch, provided an excellent opportunity for further discussions and camaraderie, strengthening the bonds between the visiting delegation and the Max Healthcare team.
